Everyone has the right to feel secure, happy, understood and supported. As our lives become more stressful, we sometimes forget this fundamental truth. Family dysfunction, traumatic events, work or academic issues, personal loss, unwanted patterns, betrayal, relationship issues, pressure to live up to to our own and others’ standards and expectations, being misunderstood or judged, illness, addictions or abuse can really take their toll. Pretty soon, the negative impact from those real life experiences can rise to such a level that it consumes our time, emotions, relationships, thoughts and cognitive energy. It’s exhausting!
